School's Over!!!!

College is over for this year!!!!!
I finished with an 97% in accounting and 94% in Spanish! I was very happy with these results. I worked hard and studied hard. Today is the First Sunday since the end of August that I haven't studied. :)
In the last 3 weeks, I've started wearing makeup. Not much, just eye-shadow. I'm going to a friends house tomorrow to get a makeover. she's going to do my hair and my makeup! Then we'll have some girl time!
I live for Peru in less than a Month!! I can't wait!!!

My first semester of college is almost over. and By almost I really mean almost! Finals are this week and next week at this time I will have my final score!
anyway... In just a few short weeks, I will be heading to Peru!! I've been looking up about international flying tips. I found on Youtube.com Sonia's travels. The best video blogs i've ever seen!! Life

Well 5 months ago i graduated high school...Can't believe that it's actually been that long.

Well College is going great. I've been getting great scores in my Accounting class. I actually had an accounting test this evening. My Spanish class is very interesting. But I only have 3 weeks left of classes.

I leave for Peru in 7 weeks! So little time to get everything done!

Work has been interesting. I was working 3 to 3 1/2 days a week but now I've only been working 2 days. I sure it will pick back up with Thanksgiving and Christmas But Sandra has so many people willing to work

I registered for Spring Classes also this week.

Anger

I tend to have some anger moments. But as a christian, I'm told to love my neighbors but sometimes it VERY hard.
I had an accident on Saturday at work. One of my co-workers was getting on my case over something that was not my job. I got very defensive and in the end, it turn out find. Today I apologized and she forgave me. I don't like having anger moments. It makes me look childish and very un-christian.

The last two weeks!

Two weeks ago, My cousin Charity's girls came to stay with us for 10 days. Rose is 4 1/2 and Grace is 3. James, Charity's Husband is in the navy and is stationed oversees in Bahrain. Charity went to see him. The girls came up on Oct 21 and Charity just showed up to pick them up this morning. They are planning on leaving Tuesday morning, Nov 5. I love my young cousins!!!!

Growing up is something i have to do....But i can do it slowly. :)

I don't want to grow up but yet i do... I know i don't make much sense but well, maybe you should come live in my head... NO wait, don't do that because the stuff that goes on in my head is crazy!!!

missing you

On October 12th, It would be 2 years since my wonderful grandmother passed away.
I was thinking the other day , that i would give anything to hear my grandma laugh again, I'd love to have her hug me again, or to have her play a game with me again. I miss her so much.

Pop Free

Hello, My challenge for this week is to try to go Pop free,
the Reason(s) why...
1) Pop, if you drink a lot of it, cost a lot. One fountain drink at Speedway cost 1.29. Think if you have that two or three times a week for a month, you'll spend... around 18 dollars a month! That's quite a bit when you're working min wage only three days a week(like I do!).
2) Caffeine isn't good for you. If you're a person who gets a headache because you haven't had a pop today, then that means you're hooked on Pop. It isn't good for you.

I have lots of headaches/migraines and I'm thinking this is part of my problem. Since i started working, I tend to drink pop when ever i'm.. Tired, Have a headache, or just bored . I'm trying to change that... so since Sept 22nd, I haven't had a pop/soda/coke!

Today has been very interesting....
I'm tired of people thinking the world that the world revolves around them... It doesn't! It never has and never will.
I'm also tired of those same people telling me that I'm really not the important. That i like to play myself up as someone very important but really, I'm the one slowing them down. That i'm the one who acts like everything happens for me!
I'm so tired of feeling unimportant!!! I'm not perfect but i am Human.

We have so many apples this year. They are growing out of our ears!! We have a total of 12 trees. we have made applesauce, Apple juice, and apple slices. We also have two pears trees and we have been making Pear sauce and pear slices.
I don't want to even think about making anything with apples or pears in it.
we have actually done more stuff with pears than we have with apples because the pears started getting ready about 4 weeks ago. the Apples have just gotten ready within the last week or so. They will be good for at least another two weeks. Then after that we'll have Grapes.
I love the harvest but Sometimes you get so tired of everything.

I started school about two weeks ago and I've been working 3 or 4 days a week. It's been Crazy but I'm loving it.
I keep thinking about how in a few years i may/maybe won't be here for the harvest. I makes me sad because this is all I've ever known for the last 10 years or so.

Well I'm going to bed now so we can can more applesauce tomorrow!!!

Something I wrote while in Canada

Canada

Everybody who ever know me knows that I LOVE going to Canada every year. Some of you might not know that I've actually looked into becoming a Canadian Citizen. I wrote this paper while i was in Canada this year. Enjoy!

Canada, Home away from Home
August 9th, 2013
Canada...Stop and ponder that word carefully. To you, that word would probulay mean 1) another Country, 2) a place VERY cold, and/or 3) a place that speaks French.
None of those meanings mean anything to me... the word Canada to me means...lots of packing, Hiking,Fishing, and Most of all, Peace.
Canada...The World where I can be myself, The place that today is the only day that matters, that what happens next week doesn't matter, The place where i can be SCARED of spiders, Bats, Frogs,( and any other kind of bugs that don't like to stay outside!) but still be able to hike and bait my own hook.
The count down to Canada doesn't start just a month or two from when we leave. No, It starts the day after Christmas! We start out counting down in weeks, Something one of us kids keep track of... Not close enough to start counting down on the calendar. The end of March comes and with it comes, counting down in DAYS. With the start of counting down in days, comes the start of counting on the Calendar and also telling people about it.
Just the word Canada, make excitement flare like a forest fire in every one of my family member's voices and make their eyes dances with happiness. With that excitement comes the stories, Someone will go to someone "Do you remember that time that Dad made us hike to...?" or "Remember when so and so stepped on that Hornets nest up by lake so and so?". We're always telling new friends some story. We ALWAYS tell a story so many times that the people ,who weren't even there when it happened, can tell it. Every year there's a certain story that we tell almost every day for the first two weeks we're back home.
This is where i can be myself. I often dream about bring some of my friends up here with me. Those, who are close to me, would see me up here and go "Hannah, I knew you were Crazy but really!?" On One hand, I'd think that be so much fun bring Sandra or Lauren or The Glenns or Heather, or Katelyn or a number of other people. I want to bring them here and introduce them to this wonderful world of mine. Watch their faces and see the spark light the flame, that welcomes the fire. See them slowly let the Problems of life melt off their minds like candle wax.
But on the other, This is MY WORLD. My place to be just as crazy as i want to be. Where i can... Take a blanket and make a skirt out of it using Safety Pins and wear that skirt as i fight Dragons or Knights....Where i can use a twig as a microphone and sing some of my favorite songs on the dock, not caring that the people, down the hill, can probably hear me....Where I can be a princess or a guard for a Prince(because not all princes have to be the Hero, do they!)...where i can pretend, that the plane i was in crashed and i have to survive. This is my haven, my place, my world to be free and crazy, my place i were i don't have to act like I'm 19, My place to remember, My home away from home.
Now don't get me wrong, I miss home like terribly right now. I miss my bed, my home, my yard, my piano, my friends, My little town, and the cornfields of Indiana( I really do, the first cornfield we see, we all go " Look at the CORN"). I miss Sandra and Lauren like crazy!!
This year has been full of changes(I don't like changes). I graduated, There's new help at work, my friends are busy with their life, Charity moved to Virginia, Grandma's been gone almost two year. and tons of other things.
I though coming to Canada would help, But it hasn't. Here every corner, every turn has some kind of memory of Grandma. I thought Canada would be easier this year compared to last year, But it wasn't. It was almost harder for me. She's everywhere. She's in the Cabin, She's on the dock, she's in the bed room, she's on the rock, she's fishing of the boat, she's wearing her Green Raincoat.
Do I want to leave tomorrow? No. Would i stay if i could? Probably not. Why, you ask, You just said that you don't want to leave. I really have thought about what it cost to live here. I've came up with this... I love this place because it my wonder "Get away from the world" place. I don't think i'd like it too long if i'd come up here to live, Just because then it would become my home, not my away place. It wouldn't be my Home away from home.

First day of classes

Today is my first day of classes. I had Spanish at 2:45 and I'm now waiting for my accounting to start at 6.
It's been different but very educational. My Books are HEAVY.. :) I'll try to update later this week to tell you guys all about it!

So i got an email today that the accounting class i was going to take was cancelled. I drive the 40 mins into town to go to Ivy Tech and meet with my Adviser. I have to change accounting classes. I'm going to take an "introduction to accounting" instead of "financial Concepts of Accounting". Classes start Monday!

HOME!

Hey, Y'all...
I've been in Canada since July 27th... We had a great time. It was in the low 60's the whole two weeks. It rained a lot!
On the way home yesterday, we stopped in St. Ignace and went to Mackinaw Island. We biked for 8 MILES... that's the longest i've ever biked!

The Future is starting soon than you think... In Fact, it's starting right now.

Soon Tomorrow, I will have graduated a month ago... Can't even believe it yet. I think it will final hit when school really starts this fall.
My Brother and sisters have already started one or two subjects. It's been different not to have Mom go over my subjects for this fall.
I've been working One or Two days a week. Hopefully I can start more..
My boss is an amazing person. I can't even dream of anyone better that i'd like to work for. She really kind and caring about us. I'd asked her to come to Church with us( She's Old German Baptist) and she did! It was great to be able to see her and talk to her without thinking 'I need to work and talk'! She came out to our house on Wednesday night for a belated Birthday party(for myself) and so did one of my other co-workers, Alexa. Sandra gave me a book and a wonderful card that had recipes on it.
We leave for Canada soon. I really don't know how i'm going to be able to go TWO weeks without talking to Sandra. We text, Facebook or talk about every other day. It's going to be hard... I just might have to buy a calling card so I can call and talk with her and my best Friend Lauren!!

I've been looking at Flight to Peru. yes Peru... I'd like to go there and see some of Our Missionaries.

Imagination

Have you ever fought dragon, or saw across the ocean, or took the wagon train out west, all in your backyard?! well I have... I've also jumped from an airplane(um..Trees) and rode a horse and Bull( Tire swing). That's because I have a BIG imagination.
Also long as i can remember, I've always playing in my pasture/backyard. I've planned corn, Fought magic wizards, and won the hunger games. I've also help Peter, Susan, Edmond, and Lucy fight the white witch.
My swords are sticks or bats!! I used to have a pretend Bow/arrow but Dad used them to start a fire on winter.
Have you ever pretended to be Taylor Swift or Carrie Underwood Or Casting Crowns or Celtic Thunder? I have!! I also have a pretend Stage( The woodpile). I've playing around, Jumped off, Jumped on and Danced around this woodpile and the only time I got hurt was Sep 2010 when I bumped a log and it fell on my right foot....
I've never met someone who i'd introduce to this world of mine. A few years ago, I told my cousin about My imagination and we played Power Ranger for the summer, Turned our bikes into Horses , Mower into a bull, and The swimming pool tubes into dolphins!!!

Barbies

Every Girl I know has a last owned 1 barbie!! Man, I've owned at least 10!
My cousin Liz used to MAKE me play barbie and at the time i didn't like playing them.
A couple years later, Lizzy out grew barbie but I'D make her play them with me because by then i'd found out the secret about playing Barbies....
the Secret to playing barbie is.....communication!! Yes, Communication... When Lizzy played the boy and i played the girl, if we didn't say what we wanted the Barbie's to say, the game didn't last long... We had to have the Barbie's COMMUNICATE!!
That's the same with anyone, Nobody can read My mind(Thanks Goodness) so i have to share with people when they ask,(what's wrong, If i'm sick, or if i'm happy or not)..

I'm not the best at communication but I'm trying to work on that..... :)

sick and 19!

Hello! quick update...
I turned 19 yesterday! We were planning on having some people out tonight but last night, i had 100.5 temp and really bad cough. My temp has finally let up this afternoon but we didn't want to get anyone sick.
I took a 4 hour nap today and hopefully i will sleep again tonight

Please pray that i get better soon and that it's not bronchitis.

Do they REALLY exist? Some people would say yes they do... Some would just shake their head and walk away. I believe that with God, Happy endings won't always be happy but we should try with God's help to make it the ending he wants us to have...
A friend of mine got married this afternoon. She looked Beautiful in her White dress!!!
I love My friend and hope maybe we can become better friends in the future!

Headaches/Migraines

As long as i can remember, I've always got headaches. Years ago, Grandma thought it was caused because i need glasses while that was proven wrong , she started take me to a chiropractor in Lafayette. We went together and I can't remember if we thought it helped or not. But pretty soon, I quit going.
In June of 2007, I got braces. I had Tow teeth on top that needed pulled down. They came down within two or three days. After they were pulled down, My headaches went from 4 days a week to maybe 2 every two weeks or so! It was an Amazing time!!! While I don't let them get me down, They are really hard on me to Focus, pay attention or just be myself.
After a while, maybe in 2009 or 2010, They started coming back. I'd have two a week or maybe 2 every 10 days. I started taking med (Advil and Tylenol) to help get rid of them. But my mother never liked me taking Advil , so i'd take Tylenol. Now Tylenol doesn't help.
Just this year, I have had headaches last for two to three days and then go away. Now, I'm very lucky if I can go two days without getting a headache. While i don't tend to wake up with them, I do about 5 times a month. I've also noticed that my headache sometimes are caused by what food i eat: Chocolates, Sweet Foods(Donuts, Cinn. Rolls and Desserts), Soda Pop, Tea and Gum. If i tend to eat more Fruits and vegetables that also helps. If i eat to much bread, Cheese or casserole type food, Then I also get headaches. Stress also plays a big role in my headaches. With Graduation last week and Construction going on, I think that might be part of the problem. Smells also gives be headache: Smoke, Perfume, some candles, and the smell of paint, Really gives be headaches.
I love rollercosters but if my neck gets whipped, I'd also get a headache. Last week, we went to Holiday World and I could only ride the rollercoster twice because i didn't want to get a headache.
I want to make the best of this world and live for the glory of God but it's so hard sometimes because Satan finds ways to distract you..

Liam

Liam is the best and wonderful boy ever! ok ok he's only two but really he calls me "hanwah". It's so cute!! Just this evening, Liam and I were helping his sister Daylin(10 months) play with some play butter and corn..
Then Liam says "Hot" and starts taking his clothes off!:) Sophy and i talked him into leaving his underwear on. So for over an Hour, He walked around there house with his hands on his hips in JUST his underwear! It was so cute!! I would have took a picture(blackmail someday!) but didn't know if i wanted to explain WHY i took a picture of an almost naked two year old!

So I graduated!!!!!!

It's official I'm now a Homeschool High School Graduate!!!!!!!
I woke up Saturday morning to my car bombed!! I called my cousin but she said she couldn't have done it because she lives 400 Miles away! But she had drove up on Friday to come!!!
       Sophy, Sierra, Neenah, Emma and Myself decorated the Bennett room.
   The party was amazing!!! So Many people! :)

We left last Tuesday, June 18th and went to..... HOLIDAY WORLD!!!!!
We camped in a tent and went to Holiday World for Two days!!! It was so much fun!!!!

I also Bought my own LAPTOP!!! It's great to actually have my own computer...

A friend of Mine, Heather Glenn, Just wrote her own book!!! She's an amazing person!!!!

   Construction is still going on. They have all the walls up and are working on the drywall.
It's been very fun... Seeing these guys build our house!!!

Third Place!

Today i received an email stating that I won Third place in this year(2013) IAHE Homeschool Convention Art contest!! This was the picture....

For the last Three years I've been doing the Art contest. The first year(2011) I won 1st place and the Second year(2012) I won Grand Champion!!

Guess what! Only 5 weeks till Graduation

It's only five weeks till graduation and we have a lot to do still!!

I applied for classes at Ivy Tech. I'm going to take Accounting 118 "Financial Concept of Accounting" and Spanish 101. :)
Working is going great. One of the Girls, Kaitlyn, quit the other week because she's going to get married soon! But Sandra(boss) has hired three new girls so it's been very interesting!

Update!

So Graduation is in a few weeks and I'm in the middle of planning for it. I know i haven't really be on top of my blogging but I'm going to try to fix that a little bit.
So Graduation! It's sorta scary but i can't wait to be done with school. I'm going to take an ivy tech class in the fall so I won't all the way be done with school! :) I'm down to just three subjects ( Geometry,Economics, and Dynamic Biblical Living). I'll be done with Geometry in just a few weeks! :) Jump for Joy!!
It's spring weather outside!!! It's great out! We had thunderstorms today but i love the smell of rain!!!
My raspberry plants( i have 6 of them) have buds on them!!! My herbs have yet to grow back but hopefully they'll come up soon!!
My graduation Open house is June 15,2013!! I hope all my family and friends can come!! I'm renting a room in Rossville for the day. In the Morning(June 15), I'm having some of my closest friends out to help me decorate the room!! In the afternoon, Is my open house from 2pm to 6pm
I bought a treadmill and have been working out every day. I've ran a mile every day since last friday(everyday but Sunday). Today I didn't want to work out, I have a headache and my legs hurt, but i did it anyway!!
